Butter Dev is the creation of a Java Web Developer, David Marginian, from Colorado. He has developed web and server applications for large e-commerce companies, fortune 500 companies, and the USAF. The client actual sent us a message and described the identity he was already branded with. In fact the name originated from a childhood past, and has stuck ever since. The general idea for the logo design was to create an icon of cutting a stick of butter and 1’s and 0’s appearing from the slice. The 1’s and 0’s was to reference computer programming (ever see the movie, The Matrix?). The main use of colors were of course yellow, and bits of orange. After a few attempts the client got what he wanted and has proudly displayed his brand on his developer blog website.
