Sizes of the logo can vary when you print it on different types of media. Sometimes shrinking a logo down to size can lead to the difficulty of recognizing it.
When understanding colors you want to keep it to a minimum. Having two colors or even a solid color can be ideal, and make sure it works in a black & white mediums. Colors can differentiate meanings. For instance, darker blue, can establish a sense of stability, unity and intelligence. Applying orange as a color can represent social ability, playfulness. All colors can be used differently, and wisely. Think about your market and see what colors can attract them.
When considering the service for logo design look for quality. Sure there are lot of website out there that promote “free” or “cheap” logo design. Some even use stock images. Others want to see spec work, created up front. Clearly, you’ll see that hundreds of these types of logos look unprofessional. There is no thought, concept or memorability with any of them. To ensure great feedback make sure you consider a well thought process and design for your logo. It’s an investment, and if you are not wise about it your investment will not return any profits.

There are slogans, motto’s, or whatever you want to call them. It’s a phrase that expresses your company’s benefits and values. Your customers will remember a great tag line. You remember, “Just Do It”, by Nike? We sure hope so, or where else has your head been? It sticks, if its good. Combined, a creative logo and a catchy tag line can be a power house. Never overlook a tag line. Remember it’s all about increase in profits.

If you cannot create the identity you desire then consider working with a consultant who specializes in that trade and can provide a positive understanding of what you want your brand to be. It is such a waste of money to not think about it as it represents you. Considerable damages may occur, in the long term due to not properly branding. If you do decide to work with a designer then make sure you are clear about how you want to look visually and the values of your business.
